Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner back together rumors 2016: Rekindling romance? Former couple spotted on leisurely stroll together
"Miracles from Heaven" actress Jennifer Garner and "Batman v Superman" star Ben Affleck may be on their way to a divorce, but it appears that the former couple can still enjoy time spent with each other. The two are co-parenting their three young children in the wake of their separation last year.
Garner and Affleck were spotted earlier this week on a stroll around Santa Monica, California. The two had reportedly just grabbed breakfast with their children Violet, 10, Seraphina, seven, and Samuel, four. In photos published by OK!, Samuel and an unidentified woman were with the couple as they stepped out for coffee following their morning school run.
Pop Sugar reports that the couple looked to be having a relaxed chat as they made their way through the neighborhood. The outlet reports that the pair were also spotted together earlier this month when they dropped off their daughters on their first day of school. They also showed up together at a neighborhood block party.
Garner and Affleck, who wed in 2005, announced that they were separating in June 2015. Nonetheless, neither of the two has officially filed for divorce. Since their announcement, the pair has continued to live together at their home in Pacific Palisades.
The Hollywood stars have expressed their commitment to raise their children together.
In an interview on NBC's "Today" in August, Garner revealed some details about their situation, saying, "We are definitely a modern family."
"Parenting is about... you can't buy parenting, no matter what," she said. "You have to actually get down on the floor and spend some time together."
Earlier this year, Garner opened up to Vanity Fair and spoke at length about her marriage.
"It was a real marriage," she said in an interview for her March 2016 cover feature. "It wasn't for the cameras. And it was a huge priority for me to stay in it. And that did not work."
She also addressed the "nannygate" controversy, telling the magazine, "We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny."
"She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation," she added.
