'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers: EP teases Gus Fring's arrival; Jimmy poses for his mugshot

A still from "Better Call Saul" | AMC

The trailer for "Better Call Saul" season 3 has arrived, and the future does not look good for Jimmy McGill (Saul Goodman), who will be in serious trouble, and it is all thanks to his lack of brotherly love with Chuck (Michael McKean).

The short clip shows Jimmy in the custody of the police with his mugshot being taken. From the looks of it, Chuck made use of the incriminating recording in his possession.

Fans will recall that Chuck tricked his brother admitting to fabricating the Mesa Verde documents in the waning moments of the previous season of "Better Call Saul."

He got this confession all recorded and if the teaser is any indication, Chuck will definitely put this gem to good use come "Better Call Saul" season 3.

However, The Independent believes that Chuck will not take this recording straight to the police, but will instead blackmail his little brother with it. Either way, it appears that Jimmy will have a run-in with the authorities.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 will bring Jimmy dangerously close to his transformation as the Saul Goodman that fans knew very well in the original series, "Breaking Bad." It is believed that Chuck's action will push him over the edge.

Apart from that, however, many believe that drug kingpin Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) will have a hand in the creation of Slipping Jimmy as well.

According to TV Guide, the iconic "Breaking Bad" antagonist will "make his first appearance" in "Better Call Saul" season 3 although in what way, shape or form, the showrunners want to be a surprise.

Executive producer Peter Gould did assure fans that they will be "tickled pink" with what they have in store for the character in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

Giving an overview of the prequel's third rodeo, he said that it "starts off with a bang" before adding, "There's so much rip-roaring conflict in the season. It really goes to a new level."

Fans of cartel lieutenant Nacho Varga (Michael Mando) will also be happy about how "Better Call Saul" season 3 is "getting a lot deeper" into his world as the season progresses.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 premieres this spring on AMC.
