There are only two more weeks to go before Thanksgiving and as such, consumers are getting inundated with offers of Black Friday 2016 discounts, sales and promos from major retailers.

Walmart and Target will both be open on Thanksgiving and will kick off their Black Friday sales nationwide at 6 p.m. on that day.

For online deal hunters, Walmart has said that it is "dramatically increasing" its inventory and will be offering about 50 percent more items online for Black Friday this year compared to last year.

In a conference call with the press, Walmart U.S. chief merchandising officer Steve Bratspies said, "We really pride ourselves on not being the retailer who advertises a great price but then only has a few available for the customers."

Ahead of Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Walmart has already begun offering some huge discounts on a wide assortment of items, including smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles and TVs. The first wave of deals runs from this week until Thanksgiving and the second wave begins on Thanksgiving itself. For online customers, sales begin at 12:01 a.m. on Thanksgiving.

The early deals, which run from Nov. 10 to 24, include an Xbox One S Minecraft Bundle with extra controller for $279 and a Hitachi 65-inch 4K TV for $599. The Black Friday deals, which will be available beginning Nov. 24, include a Samsung 50-inch 4K Smart TV for $398, a Philips 55-inch 4K LED Smart TV for $298, a Samsung Chromebook 3 for $119, a PlayStation 4 slim Uncharted 4 500 GB bundle with a $30 gift card for $249, and an Xbox One S White 500 GB Battlefield bundle for $249. PS4 and Xbox One games, including "Battlefield 1," "Madden 17" and "Titanfall 2" will be sold for $27.

Meanwhile, Target is already offering deals for iPads, apparel, TVs and many other items. Its 40-page Target Black Friday ad features a huge variety of discounted treasures, including a 9.7-inch iPad Pro for $449, an iPad mini 2 for $199.79, an HP Envy 5663 3-in-1 printer for $69.99, a Nikon D3400 DSLR camera bundle for $499.99 and a Samsung Smart 4K Ultra HD TV for $697.99.
