The story of "Black Mirror" will continue with its fourth season on Netflix, which is set to premiere sometime in 2017.

"Black Mirror" is a British sci-fi dark anthology series that features a grim side of life with a mix of highly advanced technology. It is somewhat similar to the 1959 series "The Twilight Zone" that featured psychological and supernatural themes that are applied to the everyday life.

Created by Charlie Brooker, "Black Mirror" features a different set of characters with their own special stories per episode. The title came out first on Channel 4 in 2011. By September 2015, Netflix picked up the dark-themed series and released its third season a year later.

"Black Mirror" is moving on to its fourth season come 2017, and fans are wondering what the show will have in store.

According to Mirror, it is anticipated that "Black Mirror" season 4 will have another story continue in San Junipero.

Previously in "Black Mirror" season 3, an episode titled "San Junipero" featured the love story of two women, Yorkie (Mackenzie Davis) and Kelly (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), who met in a virtual reality called San Junipero that was uploaded to their minds while being confined in separate retirement homes.

After Yorkie and Kelly developed their feelings for each other, they met in the real world where they got married so that Kelly can authorize Yorkie's euthanasia. Time passes, and the couple's consciousness was fully uploaded into the virtual reality of San Junipero where they lived happily ever after.

The episode made such an impact, and it was even voted Best TV Episode at the IGN awards, which made fans crave for a sequel to their story in San Junipero.

Fans also have a lot of questions they want to be answered about the virtual space, and hopefully, another episode about San Junipero would be able to answer these mysteries.

"Black Mirror" season 4 is expected to premiere in 2017 on Netflix.
