'Blindspot' season 2 episode 13 spoilers: Shocking connection between Weller and Shepherd to be revealed in 'Name Not One Man'

Could Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) be a double agent for Sandstorm? His connection to the terrorist organization’s big boss will be revealed on the next episode of “Blindspot.” | YouTube/Blindspot

All eyes are on Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) finally pulls the lid off the mysterious connection between him and Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) in the next episode of "Blindspot."

Weller's involvement in Sandstorm's plans has been a running mystery ever since the show's first season. His name was tattooed on Jane's back, Sandstorm went to great lengths to make him assistant director of the FBI headquarters in New York, and he was recently spared from a planned ambush by a fake phone call that sent him to the hospital worrying about his baby mama while his team fell right into Shepherd's trap.

But, why Weller? What's so special about him? And how will he ultimately serve Sandstorm's purpose, which seems to be against all of his known better judgments?

Titled "Name Not One Man," the upcoming episode, which airs in three weeks, brings this mystery right back to the surface with answers having a surprisingly decades-long connection between him and the woman who calls herself Shepherd. In the previous episode, when Jane pointed Shepherd out in Weller's yearbook, the FBI assistant director swore he remembered this woman. But how and why will only be revealed when episode 13 finally airs.

What is the true identity of the woman who wants to burn America down to the ground, and what significant part did she previously play in Weller's life?

Moreover, the trailer for the next episode teases a huge shift in loyalties as Weller is painted out as a possible double agent for Sandstorm. A seemingly ludicrous accusation, which Weller strongly denies. But could it really be possible that he's providing intel to Sandstorm without his full knowledge? Has his memory also been manipulated, or does he just happen to be so good at acting out a character that he's got everybody fooled?

All things will be made clear when "Blindspot" season 2 episode 13 airs on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
