'Blindspot' season 2 episode 13 spoilers: Weller discovers his ties with Sandstorm; Jaimie Alexander teases major character's death
Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) finds out that he has ties to Sandstorm on the upcoming episode of "Blindspot" season 2.
Titled "Name Not One Man," the action drama's next episode will reveal something about Weller's past. According to the official synopsis, the team gets a huge break in the Sandstorm case when they finally learn about Shepherd's (Michelle Hurd) true identity. However, things will become complicated after Weller discovers that he has a decades-old connection with Shepherd and with Sandstorm.
Aside from being actively involved in the covert organization called Sandstorm, Shepherd is also the adoptive mother of Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and Roman (Luke Mitchell). In the previous episode, Jane saw Weller's old photo with his basketball team. Jane saw Shepherd in the same photo, sitting on the bench while watching the game. When Jane asked Weller about the woman in the picture, he simply said he remembers her.
When the series picks up next month, Roman won't be the only one getting new memories. Alexander recently caught up with Entertainment Weekly, and she teased that Jane will soon begin to remember how mean she was to her brother. "Cade comes back into the picture. There's an interaction in her past with Roman, Cade and herself, and she's starting to remember certain things that she's even worse than she thought she was," the actress said.
As for the future episode, Alexander hinted that a main character will die before the season wraps up. The character's exit will happen on episode 16, and Alexander admitted that she was also surprised when she learned about the plot twist. Even though she obviously can't give out any clues, she mentioned that the death will have major repercussions for Jane and the team.
"There is a very shocking death that's coming up that I just read last week that I didn't know was going to happen," she continued, further stating that "It's very sad."
The second season of "Blindspot" airs every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. The series is currently on a short hiatus, and it is scheduled to return on Feb. 8.
