"The Expendables" actor Eric Roberts is the latest addition to the growing roster of guest stars in the upcoming "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Roberts will be taking on the role of Jimmy "The Butcher" Figgis, the mafia boss who is often referred to by other characters but has yet to make an appearance in the cop comedy.

In the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 finale, Jake (Andy Samberg) and Holt (Andre Braugher) managed to destroy much of Figgis' mafia-run criminal enterprise but failed to capture Figgis himself. Later, the two detectives ended up under the witness protection program in Florida after Figgis phoned a death threat.

EW noted that Roberts' Figgis will be heard before he is seen in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4. The actor will have a voice cameo in episode 2 before appearing in episode 3.

"Figgis becomes aware of their presence in Florida and the clock starts ticking," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" executive producer Dan Goor told the outlet. "They know that he is on his way down," he added.

Roberts has appeared in a long list of films and television shows. He was most recently seen in "Hawaii Five-0," "Suits," and "Scorpion."

Prior to Roberts' casting, it was announced that the sitcom's fourth season will feature "Parks and Recreation" alum Jim O'Heir as a policemen who will bump into Jake and Holt in Florida. "Reaper" grad Ken Marino will also have a guest spot as the precinct captain who will replace Holt, as does "Saturday Night Live" alum Jorma Taccone, who will play Holt's new boss in Florida.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 will also feature "The Mindy Project" actress Rhea Perlman as the leader of a group of power walkers while "Bridesmaids" star Maya Rudolph will take on the role of a U.S. Marshal who will help Jake and Holt.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 debuts Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
