'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' Release Date, New Features: 15 Weapons Re-Tuned; Havoc DLC Shows New Rifle
Fifteen base weapons in "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" will be re-tuned by Sledgehammer Games. The re-tuning could happen with Thursday's release of the Havoc DLC.
The actual weapons to be re-balanced should be revealed when the Havoc DLC moves beyond Xbox console and into PlayStations (PS3 and PS4) and PCs.
Furthermore, the Havoc DLC showcases the new AE4 directed energy assault rifle for use in Exo-Zombies mode. It also features four new multiplayer maps, namely:
"Urban" – Set in a super facility located in Dallas ward which offers a lot of verticality. Blast doors open and close to shake up the gun play.
"Sideshow" – Set in a Wyoming motel littered with clown art-it. This offers a more open map layout than any others in the pack.
"Drift" – Set in a Rocky Mountain ski resort. Here the map is covered in snow. At times an avalanche occurs.
"Core" – Set in a nuclear fusion plant in disrepair. The map features decontamination drones that can be activated by streaking players.
What also makes this first wave of expansion most awaited is the latest CoD Exo Zombies mode which utilizes the voices of four popular Hollywood actors, namely Bill Paxton, John Malkovich, Jon Bernthal and Rose McGowan.
Similar to past iterations, players work together, geared with Exo-suits, to take on a mission in Exo Zombies mode to defend their position from waves of the undead in an Atlas research facility.
The "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" Havoc DLC was launched on Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms last January. The Havoc DLC is the first of four downloadable add-ons. The three other DLC packs coming in 2015 are Supremacy, Ascendance and Reckoning. These are available as separate purchases, although a four-in-one season pass is offered at $49.99, which offers a savings of $10 plus an early access to the new weapons.
