'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' DLC news: Latest update brings a bunch of fixes and improvements
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" has a new patch available for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
According to reports, the game's latest update does not add any interesting new content, but it includes several multiplayer tweaks and fixes. Bugs that occur when playing split screen were fixed, inconsistent win/loss awards in specific circumstances were corrected, and maps that have had exploits were blocked. The game's previous patch included similar improvements, along with a splash screen when a weapon levels up and a nerf for the Volk. Although this latest patch doesn't nerf any weapon in the roster, the P-Law launcher does get a buff, and it is now able to one-shot UAVs as well as counter-UAVs.
As IGN points out, the new patch updates Infected to let Survivors earn a higher score or XP on skills. All players who are infected will have an assist point when a survival is killed. Despite the lack of new items in this update, developer Infinity Ward promises more weapons in a future patch. In the Zombies in Spaceland mode, some issues have been fixed, along with a balance change that tweaks the Headcutter damage exploit when used on an Alien.
Platform specific changes were also part of the update. For Windows PC, mouse support was included, and a bug wherein special characters in a username would result to stuttering for other players was corrected. Audio related crashes caused by a bug on Xbox One should also be gone upon downloading the patch. Additionally, support for MLG.tv was included and fixes for CODCaster were made.
