'Castle' Season 7 Spoilers: 2-Way Win For Crime Drama TV Series With 2 POVs in Consecutive Episodes?

ABC

What's up with the popular crime drama TV series "Castle"? Plenty, if you take into account the huge difference between the points of view featured in Episodes 4 and 5 of Season 7.

In Episode 4, "Child's Play," which will air several hours from now, writer and pseudo-detective Richard "Rick" Castle (Nathan Fillion) goes incognito at an elementary school. He is trying to find the second grade student who may be the key to unravelling the mystery behind the shooting of an ice cream vendor.

Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) continues playing the dramatic foil to Castle's antics in this episode, which has a lot of kids sharing onscreen time with the two leads and making Castle's life seriously awkward.

This massive immersion in the life of school-age kids is being bandied about by the rumor mill as a preparatory move to condition the minds of fans about the possibility that Rick and Kate may be settling down soon. Welcome news, if it happens!

Meanwhile, for next week's Episode 5, "Meme is Murder," the crime-perspective is that of virtual reality. A web celebrity dies under mysterious circumstances. Rick and Kate are weighing the possibility that they may be up against one of the online world's most dangerous types: a social media sociopath.

What makes a social media sociopath just as threatening, if not more so, than a sociopath on the loose in real life, is that the latter ordinarily has no fixation to glam up on a flashy image. On the other hand, a social media sociopath's twisted psyche is anchored on getting fame online, no matter what the cost.

From the universe of innocent kiddies to that of crazed online fame-gluttons, you can be sure "Castle" has it all covered. Don't be surprised if the two episodes score a two-way win in ratings and the hearts of fans.
