Chicago Bulls trade rumors 2016: DeMarcus Cousins part of new "super team"?
Recent news on DeMarcus Cousins' future with the Sacramento Kings has resulted in many different rumors linking the center to various teams.
Initially, Cousins was rumored to be moving to the Los Angeles Lakers, citing Cousins' love for the storied franchise.
However, recent reports have revealed that Cousins may also be heading to the Eastern Conference with another big franchise looking to acquire his services.
According to reports, the Chicago Bulls are looking to build a super team of their own.
After already losing Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah earlier in the summer, the Bulls made some amends by bringing in two guards with championship experience, Rajon Rondo from the Sacramento Kings and Dwyane Wade from the Miami Heat.
This brought new life to the Windy City and fans were eager to see how the three guard lineup of Rondo, Wade and Jimmy Butler will work out in Illinois.
Now it appears that the team is trying to lure a big man in the team as well.
These reports claimed further that the Bulls are making a move to trade for Cousins, and the result would be a formidable Eastern Conference powerhouse that could go up against current NBA Champions the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cousins certainly has the numbers to prove he is a great asset to the club, with the big man being selected as an All-Star in the last two seasons in the league.
He also had a career season last year, averaging a career-high 26.9 points per game as well as grabbing 12.0 rebounds per contest.
However, the lack of players behind Cousins in Sacramento has resulted in his discontent in playing in the city and he has been constantly linked to moves outside of the team in the recent years.
If Cousins does land in Chicago, it will be a great signing for the team and a great team for the center as it is a huge market with championship aspirations and the personnel to help him achieve his goal.
