'Chicago Fire' season 5 episode 8 spoilers: Dawson and Casey to finally tie the knot?
The next installment of "Chicago Fire" season 5 marks the show's 100th episode milestone, which is why it is only fitting for episode 8 to be titled, "One Hundred."
This installment will be packed with exciting development for the characters particularly with Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund), who hope to be little Louie's mom and dad through co-adoption.
They make that happen in "Chicago Fire" season 5, episode 8, or at least they try as the synopsis for the installment teases that they will hit a snag.
A sneak peek of the episode shows that Casey will use his connections to do so and his determination to be the legal father of Louie appears to be unwavering.
It is a tough thing to pull off though and while Dawson expressed worries that what they are trying to do is unprecedented, which increases the chances of it being a failure, Casey assured her that there is an answer and they will find it.
From the looks of it, the issue that the couple will come across is that they are not yet married, which could lead Casey and Dawson to tie the knot in "Chicago Fire" season 5, episode 8.
Not only is the 100th episode of the series (and the winter finale for the season) the perfect episode to do that, the promo also teases that they will get married although only in the court.
In the "Chicago Fire" season 5, episode 8 promo, Dawson said as she looked at Casey that she has "never been more sure of anything in my life." The setup suggested that a marriage ceremony is about to go down.
It was teased in the past that "Chicago Fire" season 5 will see the two take things to the next level. The fact that the marriage was brought into play in the last episode, where Dawson's parents announced their divorce, suggest that it will also find its way into the character's life.
That being said, "Chicago Fire" season 5, episode 8 could be the setting for Casey and Dawson to be man and wife.
"Chicago Fire" season 5, episode 8, "One Hundred," airs Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
