'Civilization 6' release date new and updates: Developer offers game's 25th anniversary edition

The long-running strategy video game series, "Civilization," has been all over the Internet in the last few days. The sixth installment of the popular franchise is already set to come out in less than two months and fans could no longer wait to get a hold of it. According to reports, Game developer Firaxis Games and publisher 2K Games are offering fans the opportunity to purchase the game earlier than its scheduled launch date. Both companies offer "Civilization 6's" 25th Anniversary Edition with the latest installment to their fans.

According to a report by IGN, the 25th Anniversary Edition package is being offered as a way to celebrate the game's silver anniversary. Aside from the highly anticipated "Civilization," the package will also include four expansion packs and a digital soundtrack. It is definitely a bundle "Civilization's" fans do not want to miss out.

According to the publication, the 25th Anniversary Edition of "Civilization 6" will also contain the "Civilization Through the Years," a 100-page hardcover book compiled for the fans. The bundle will also have the display set and the game's commemorative coin set.

In a report by Mobile & Apps, fans will be having a hard time searching for the 25th Anniversary Edition of "Civilization 6" as the bundle is reportedly sold out on both Amazon and 2K store. According to the report, the package was already out of stock two hours after its release.

The current offering is said to be available for limited time online. It also has a price tag of $90 and it has already been announced by Firaxis Games and 2K Games that they will only release 20,000 copies of "Civilization 6" 25th Anniversary Edition worldwide.

As of the moment, fans are hoping that the release of the game's sixth installment will no longer be delayed.
