"Dance Moms" continue to be plagued with cancellation rumors as the show's seventh season continue to air on Lifetime.

As previously reported, "Dance Moms" reality TV star Abby Lee Miller recently hinted on Instagram that Lifetime's dance reality series will soon come to an end. Miller posted a video on the social media platform and mentioned that she has dedicated all her best in working for Lifetime for the past five years and the last seven seasons of the show. She also expressed her gratitude for all the lessons and opportunities she received along the way.

However, contrary to the rumors, it looks like "Dance Moms" hasn't been completely canceled yet. In an interview with Radar Online, cast member Brynn Rumfallo's mother, Ashlee, revealed the current status of the reality show.

"There has not been a definite cancellation," Ashlee said. "They're waiting on a few things and deciding how and what they're going to do. No one knows," she went on to say.

One of the things Lifetime's showrunners could be waiting on is Abby's sentencing on Jan. 20 for fraud charges. Miller previously pled guilty to one count of not reporting an international monetary transaction and another count for concealing bankruptcy assets. The dance choreographer faces up to 30 months of prison time.

As reported by Page Six, Miller was placed under investigation when a bankruptcy judge saw the dance choreographer on TV back in December 2012 and figured she had to be earning more than the $8,899 monthly income she had been declaring.

According to authorities, Miller hid more than $228,000 in income from appearances on "Dance Moms" and the spinoff, "Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition," as well as around $550,000 from personal appearances, dance sessions, and merchandise.

Even if the show may not be canceled, Inquisitr reports that "Dance Moms" season 7 could be much shorter than the previous season. Prior seasons, except for the first one, had more than 30 episodes each. However, season 7 will only be composed of 13 episodes.
