Despite rumors to the contrary, Lifetime's reality television series "Dance Moms" may be gearing up for another season. However, recent developments suggested that Abby Lee Miller and the other regulars on the show may no longer be a part of it.

Bryan Stinson, one of the show's executive producers, has recently announced via his official Twitter account that "Dance Moms" will be kicking off with another season following the current season 7. The tweet comes with a promotional image for an appearance at Servite High School in Anaheim scheduled for Feb. 11. The tweet also suggested that the upcoming next season will be happening despite unfavorable odds that have or may still come their way.

The show's host resident dance instructor, Abby Lee Miller, is currently on trial for fraud and a violation of the currency reporting laws, for which she might face a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence. A second hearing regarding these charges has been scheduled on Feb. 24, during which Miller's lawyers will be making their case for probation. The judge is expected to make her final decision afterward.

Miller's fate on "Dance Moms" is also currently unclear. In a post on her official Instagram account, the choreographer informed her followers that she has not been offered a formal pickup agreement for any more appearances on the show. And yet, she had been receiving "hundred emails" with video footages of the show's dancers. She slammed the show's staff for not giving her creative credit even after 7 seasons and ended the post by saying, "My creativity and eye for detail will be much better utilized elsewhere!"

There are still no confirmed details regarding the cast of the upcoming season 8, although a source has recently reported that mini team members Lilliana Ketchman and Elliana Walmsley, and newcomer Maesi Caes may all be returning in the next installment. Elite dancers and original cast members Kalani Hilliker and Kendall Vertes have not confirmed their involvement in future episodes yet, and fan-favorite Chloe Lukasiak, who is set to appear in the season 7 finale, has led fans to hope that she will play a much bigger part in the rumored eighth season.

The next episode of "Dance Moms" season 7 airs on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
