'Dancing With the Stars' Season 9 Results Aftermath: Controversial Elimination Lingers

As Week 9 of Season 9 of "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS) came to a conclusion on Nov. 10, one unanswered question stayed in the air, which is whether or not the pair that was given the walking papers from the show was actually the right pair to be eliminated.

The pair of Lea Thompson and pro Artem Chigvintsev was the one who gave the audience their last bows.

This situation arose as a result of the two dances that the pairs who were still around to compete, were made to perform. The first dance was one chosen by the public, and the other dance featured a pro dancer who had been eliminated in a previous broadcast.

While Thompson and Chigvintsev did not score the lowest, they still had to bear the after-effects of their past uninspired performances. On Monday, that poor record affected how they danced, and resulted in their getting a 34 for a Foxtrot number, and a 36 score for their Paso Doble, which they did with Henry Byalikov.

Just for the record, the lowest scores actually went to Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas who earned only a 33 for their Jive routine, and Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd who garnered a miserable 29 for their Viennese Waltz, along with a 28 for doing the Samba with Sharna Burgess.

However, even if Robertson and Ballas scored very low for Jive, they managed to turn in an impressive 40 while doing the Foxtrot with Emma Slater.

Robertson and Ballas weren't the only ones who achieved a perfect score, though. Dancing pair Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson also got a 40 for their Paso Doble performance with Lindsay Arnold.
