'Dark Souls 3' DLC update, latest news: Bandai Namco launches gameplay trailer for 'The Ringed City' DLC expansion

With the game's final expansion arriving next month, Bandai Namco has recently released a new gameplay footage from the upcoming "The Ringed City" expansion of the video game "Dark Souls 3."

Based on the latest gameplay trailer released by the gaming company, "The Ringed City" expansion is set to introduce new areas, weapons, enemies, items, abilities, and so much more. In one scene, the footage displays new locations which will all be added in the game through the upcoming "Dark Souls 3" expansion.

The trailer also teased new experiences such as an encounter with a flying, ethereal creature with the capacity to shoot lasers. There is also a boss battle between a gigantic winged flame beast. A new and long exploration after dropping into the side of a city building is also shown.

In addition, the latest "Dark Souls 3" DLC expansion trailer features a glimpse at some of the new dark plum-colored ghost villains. These ghosts have the ability to change their size and to drag down Ashen Ones into the underworld. There is also a variation of this villain that can shoot flames from a shield and set its weapon on fire during combat.

As reported by GameRant, aside from the trailer for "The Ringed City" DLC expansion, Bandai Namco has also released a new patch called Update 1.10. This patch update is meant to fix bugs and glitches, including a troublesome issue that allows the invasion of players during boss battles.

"The Ringed City" DLC expansion of "Dark Souls 3" will be made available on all platforms starting March 28. There two ways that gamers can purchase the expansion. First is by buying the DLC expansion as a standalone for $15. The DLC expansion can also be acquired through the game's season pass which is worth $25. The season pass also includes the game's first expansion, "Ashes of Ariandel."

"Dark Souls 3" is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
