'Dark Souls 3' last expansion 'The Ringed City' revealed with a new trailer; releases on March 28
The last expansion of "Final Dark Souls 3" has already been revealed. Titled as "The Ringed City," it is set to arrive for PC, PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One on March 28. A promo video has also been released to showcase the game.
According to the official description of "Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City," players will embark on a new adventure "chasing after the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity."
"At the close of the Age of Fire, as the world ends and all lands converge upon themselves, a lone adventurer descends into the madness of the earth and uncovers the secrets of the past," the description continues.
The DLC will also offer new weapons, armor and magic for the players. Bandai Namco says that the "The Ringed City" features a place that is filled with "new horrors for players to overcome."
Players are recommended to take precaution when entering new areas since bosses, invaders and even basic monsters can swiftly do a kill especially when players drop their guard. When facing new enemies, it is strongly advised to slow down and observe the enemies' movements first.
Also, even when several rooms have already been cleared, players should never relax still. There are possible threats still lurking around so it is best no to leave the game, except when going offline.
Players who have "Dark Souls 3" Season Pass can play "The Ringed City" without shelling out more money. Otherwise, players will have to pay $15 for the standalone title. The Season Pass already includes the first DLC, "Ashes of Ariandel," which came out in October last year.
In Europe, "Dark Souls 3" has "The Fire Fades" Edition that includes the base game and the two expansions. It is set to launch on April 21.
