'Dark Souls 3' latest news: Patch Update 1.10 set to arrive on Feb. 8
FromSoftware has announced that it will release a new patch update for their popular video game "Dark Souls 3" this month.
As announced on the video game's official Facebook account, the upcoming patch update will be deployed on Feb. 8, and it is meant to fix some issues currently experienced by some players in the game. Some of the issues intended to be fixed by the patch include the Boss rooms invasions, items "tumblebluffing," and spells "dartcasting."
The patch update, called Patch 1.10, will feature several changes, according to Attack of the Fanboy. The upcoming patch will reportedly fix an issue where a player could attack another player during a boss battle. It also addresses an issue where an enchantment could be applied to weapons which, ordinarily, could not be enchanted.
The update is also meant to address a problem with casting magic. For example, when items are used while casting magic, display glitches could sometimes occur. Patch 1.10 should also be able to fix an issue where it was possible to cancel immediately into a second magic spell after casting the first one.
The upcoming patch will also address an issue in which the first part of a skill action could be skipped. It will also repair a problem where a single item could be used indefinitely.
The new patch for "Dark Soul 3" will roll out on each of the game's three platforms on Feb. 8. However, to prepare the game's system for the launch of the patch, FromSoftware will be taking down its servers for maintenance.
The PlayStation 4 server maintenance is scheduled on Feb. 7, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. PST. The Xbox One server maintenance will be held on the same day, between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. PST. The maintenance for the game's PC server will take place a little later than the rest, which will commence on Feb. 8, from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. PST.
There is no specific time when the forthcoming Patch 1.10 update will be rolled out on the available platforms for "Dark Souls 3," but gamers can expect the update anytime on Feb. 8. A DLC expansion, called "The Ringed City," has also been announced to arrive on March 28.
