'Day of Infamy' beta release update: Early Access beta launched with new contents
New World Interactive officially launched the beta stage for "Day of Infamy" months after releasing the game's Early Access alpha stage.
The game developer took into consideration some of the feedbacks and comments from players who already tried playing the World War 2-themed first-person shooter game. This prompted them to come up with fixes and updates for some of the glitches noticed by the community since the alpha stage's release in July.
Some of the fixes released through the "Day of Infamy" Early Access Beta include the improved Reichswald and Bastogne maps, fixed player classes balance, better performances, as well as a number of bug fixes.
The game developer also mentioned in a press release that was posted on Steam that they will come up with new major features. These include new stats and rankings, a new unit system that takes note of the player's performance to reward them with an unlocked Unit inventory item as they rank up, and air support, as well as brand-new game modes. The update also comes with new shaders for each character, as well as new environment materials that are made to boost the graphic fidelity of the game's Source engine.
The Early Access beta for "Day of Infamy" will also come with a new Sabotage multiplayer mode, new weapons including the German Faction weapons such as the FG42 and the Einstossflammenwerfer 46 area denial weapon, the US Faction weapon called the M1917 single-action revolver & Moon Clip upgrade, as well as Commonwealth Faction's Vickers Machinegun.
The game developer also offered an update about the development of "Day of Infamy" in the same press release. "As we move forward into the Beta phase, our focus will shift from experimentation to finalization. We will polish the visuals, improve the user experience, and finalize content," New World Interactive stated.
With the release of the Early Access beta stage, players should expect to hear the official release date announcement of "Day of Infamy" in the coming days.
