'Days of our Lives' Spoilers: Adam Mayfield to Join Cast; Hope and Her Boyfriend Face Trouble

"Days of Our Lives" fans are in for another surprising treat as a new member of the cast is about to join the show in 2015. It's been rumored that Adam Mayfield of "All My Children" will be joining to play the role of EJ DiMera, which was previously played by actor James Scott.

Scott exited the show when his character was killed in the fall of 2014. His death, however, was not clear at that time. Kristen DiMera injected something to his body, and then shipped the body off to her father. We have not seen EJ alive since that time.

The "Days of Our Lives" production team has confirmed that Adam will be joining the show. However, he will not be the EJ DiMera that everyone's been excited about. The production team confirmed that Mayfield will be part of the cast as a new character who will be announced in January. Rumor has it that this character is associated with Serena Mason's past.

Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) will be receiving some shocking news, including a warning about the safety of her boyfriend as well as her own. More and more evidence will link Hope's new boyfriend to the murder of his wife.

Meanwhile, Nicole isn't happy about Serena Mason's arrival and she takes on some investigation regarding her life and background. Melanie will accuse Theresa of giving Brady no choice after a fake pregnancy. Both will get into a big fight.

Eric does his own investigation and learns about Nicole's dirty activities as he tries to squeeze information about Serena.
