PC players who do not have Windows 10 can now play "Dead Rising 4" as it was officially released on Steam on March 14.

The zombie survival game had a timed-exclusive release on Xbox One and on Windows 10 through the Microsoft "Play Anywhere System," where it was released on Dec. 6.

The game will not be making its way to a PlayStation console anytime soon. Capcom and Microsoft set a partnership that limits the release of "Dead Rising 4" to Microsoft consoles. However, it is possible that after the lock-out period, which is set at one year for the Xbox One console, the game will find its way into the PlayStation network. The partnership was also the reason why the title was released on Steam three months after its launch because it stipulated that there should be a 90-day timed-exclusive release on Windows 10 for PC.

"Dead Rising 4" sees the return of photojournalist Frank West, the protagonist of the first game. He will return to Willamette, Colorado, the site where the first outbreak happened and the setting of the original title, where he will attempt to find the truth behind the zombie apocalypse. Aside from the undead, he will also find himself facing the military, which will support his theory that the breakout is a result of a government conspiracy. One of the quirky features of the new game is to have Frank take selfies with zombies.

As with the previous "Dead Rising" titles, the game features an open world setting, with players given the freedom to explore and interact with the environment to create their own weapons against the zombies. This is the first title of the series that does not have a timer system and story co-op gameplay.

"Dead Rising 4" is priced at $59.99 on Steam. It comes with a new chapter titled "My Bloody Valentine," two difficulty levels, and the "Street Fighter" costume pack.
