A teaser trailer attached to the premiere date of "Logan" has been released, and it features a lot of Easter eggs. Meanwhile, casting for Deadpool's ally — Cable — is still ongoing.

"Deadpool 2" released a teaser trailer featuring the Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) in an attempt to save an old man from a robbery. But Deadpool had to change in his costume inside a phone booth, just like Superman once did, which took too much time that cost him the old man's life.

The trailer also featured Stan Lee commenting on Deadpool's sleek suit, with the Merc with a Mouth acknowledging who the comic-book writer really is.

Other than a reference to Superman, the trailer also had "Logan" showing on the theater nearby and a vandal with Cable's real name — Nathan Summers — on the phone booth where Deadpool changed into his costume.

However, Polygon points out that the most intriguing Easter egg in the trailer is the poster of "Firefly," which could indicate that Fox will reboot the series.

At the 2017 Television Critics Association, Fox's president of entertainment David Madden said that the studio is open to reboot "Firefly" but only if series director Joss Whedon wants to, Rotten Tomatoes reported.

Whedon shared that he's willing to work on a "Firefly" reboot, as long as the original cast of the show is up for it and if the reboot won't feel like it's forced.

Meanwhile, Cable's appearance has already been hinted in the "Deadpool 2" teaser trailer, and casting is still ongoing.

According to The Wrap, David Harbour — who currently portrays Chief Jim Hopper in "Stranger Things" — is being betted to play Cable.

Though Harbour's name is already on the film's IMDb page, nothing is final yet as Cable's comic creator Rob Liefeld suggested on Twitter that Russel Crowe read for the part.

"Deadpool 2" is expected to premiere on March 2, 2018.
