'Descendants of the Sun' season 2 updates, air date: SongSong couple confirming their relationship soon? Lee Min-ho to join 'DotS' sequel?
Rumors abound regarding "Descendants of the Sun" season 2, and while KBS itself confirmed the possibility of producing a sequel to the phenomenal hit Korean drama, nothing has been set in stone. Now, another rumor is circulating, which is bound to land every K-drama loving fan on cloud nine.
A few weeks ago, there were reports that Song Joong-ki (Capt. Yoo Si-jin) and Song Hye-kyo (Dr. Kang Mo-yeon) met with the "Descendants of the Sun" season 2 writer, possibly to discuss the sequel's storyline. There were even speculations that the season 2 plot will see the two lead stars getting married and starting a family.
Now, there are rumors that another popular Korean actor, Lee Min-ho ("The Heirs," "Boys over Flowers") has been cast as a possible third party to Capt. Yoo and Dr. Kang. Apparently, the two will face challenges in their marriage not only as they struggle to juggle their jobs while raising a family but also because of Lee Min-ho's alleged character.
Should the "Bounty Hunter" star be on his way to joining the sequel with the SongSong couple, fans could expect the sequel to be another global hit.
In related news, there are rumors that Joong-ki has asked Hye-kyo to walk with him on the red carpet when his film "Battleship Island" premieres. Sources claim the two will wear matching outfits on the movie's premiere night, perhaps as an affirmation that they are, indeed, a couple in real life.
The two have neither confirmed nor denied the status of their relationship, and fans are hoping their idols are dating in real life. However, if the two prove that rumors about their relationship are false, the companies and writers spreading the "news" may be sued and convicted of cyber defamation and cyber bullying.
In the meantime, stay tuned for more updates and news about "Descendants of the Sun" season 2, which is rumored to start airing by April 2017.
