Game developer Bungie is said to be currently developing the "Rise of Iron" DLC of the first-person shooter video game, "Destiny." According to reports, the company has recently shared some details about the upcoming expansion along with its new game mode, "Wrath of the Machine." Game director Luke Smith, which was responsible for the previous "The Taken King" DLC, will also be directing the "Rise of Iron" expansion. However, the most interesting reports that recently emerged say that Bungie might immediately work on the game's sequel right after the roll out of "Rise of Iron."

There are reports circulating suggesting that "Destiny 2" might come out in September 2017, which is exactly three years after the release of the current game. Although the company has yet to make an official announcement with regard to the specifics of its development, Lars Bakken, the game's lead designer, has recently hinted in a blog post that the company is definitely ready to start with the sequel.

"We'll be plotting more specific waypoints as time goes on. Right now, there are hundreds of passionate people at Bungie working to turn the plan for Destiny's future into the adventures, dangerous enemies, and glittering treasures that await us," Bakken said. " As soon as we're ready, we'll share the details with you in all the usual places. In the meantime, we'll keep the conversation rolling with the team on the support front. We're also gathering up details for spring as the team begins to lock it in."

Meanwhile, in a report by PC Advisor, game publisher Activision's plan on "Rise of Iron" is to release a new DLC pack that is bigger than the 2015 expansion, "The Taken King." The upcoming DLC is said to feature a new exciting raid, which will surprise many of its players.

As of the moment, neither Bungie nor Activision has provided specific details of the new expansion's release date. However, many fans believe that it is only a matter of time before Bungie makes an official statement.
