NBA teams have gone through their first few games in the new season and they now realistically know how they may fare after 82 games.

The Detroit Pistons are in the middle of the race in the East and are currently 3-2, placing third in the Central Division. They are hoping to make it to the playoffs later on in the year, but if rumors are true they might be lining up a possible deal that could help them turn that dream into reality.

The Pistons are rumored to be eyeing their division rival's biggest star as they want Indiana Pacers' Paul George to move to the Motor City.

Initially, the Pacers were thought to be a strong team given that they added some stars like Al Jefferson and Jeff Teague to accompany George in his quest.

Unfortunately, it has not translated to wins as the Pacers are struggling with a 2-3 mark at the moment. They are far behind their rivals, the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are the only unbeaten team so far.

Despite having big names in the team, there must be a problem with the Pacers in terms of chemistry as they are unable to perform very well.

George has done his part so far as he averages 24.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in the early stages of the campaign. He is also shooting at an incredible rate at 48 percent from the field, with a 52 percent conversion rate from beyond the arc and an incredible 96 percent from the free throw line.

If the Pistons can conjure a deal that would convince the Pacers to give up their best player, it should be a big move for Detroit. As for the Pacers, they are likely going to undergo development for a few years.
