Many fans are hoping that the fifth installment of the action-adventure hack and slash video game, "Devil May Cry 5," will make it at E3 2016, which will start on June 14. According to reports, the upcoming title could be already in the works following a reveal from voice actor Nils Hognestad.

There have been several speculations surrounding the development of the rumored fourth sequel. Previous reports suggested that game developer and publisher Capcom is going to announce three new game titles this year. Two games have already been confirmed this week – "Monster Hunter: Generations" and the fourth installment of the open world survival horror beat 'em up video game, "Dead Rising 4."

According to a report from Gameranx, there is a big possibility that Capcom will announce "Devil May Cry 5" as the third video game title at E3. However, the game developer has just announced the seventh installment of the "Resident Evil" franchise today. It appears that fans of "Devil May Cry" may have to wait a little longer for the fifth game to come out.

According to a report by IGN, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" has been confirmed during the Sony E3 press conference for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. This recent announcement may have killed the possibility of "Devil May Cry 5" to come out this year or in 2017.

Nonetheless, fans are hoping that the recent leaked details coming from Nils Hognestad's resume, which includes "Devil May Cry 5," indicate that the game is still happening. The speculations that the game is already in the works started when voice actor Johnny Young Bosh posted a photo of him and another voice actor Ruben Langdon. The picture shows both actors wearing motion capture suites and headsets.

Until Capcom confirms the development of "Devil May Cry 5," all reports must be taken with a grain of salt.
