'Diablo 3' news, updates: Patch 2.4.3 added, 'Rise of Necromancer' DLC details revealed

Developer Blizzard Entertainment recently released a new patch for "Diablo 3," and it features bug fixes along with new features to improve the game.

 According to reports, the latest patch for "Diablo 3" will allow players to try the 20th-anniversary edition of "Diablo 1." The special edition is scheduled to be released in January next year, but "Diablo 3" players who already have the patch will have an earlier access to the upcoming game. In addition to the minor bug fixes and special edition, patch 2.4.3 will include an increase in the power of The Saffron Wrap of Barbarian and the Talisman of Akkhan as the seventh piece on Armor of Akkhan.

Meanwhile, after being the subject of numerous rumors and speculations, Blizzard Entertainment finally revealed details about the latest DLC for "Diablo 3." The "Rise of the Necromancer" expansion pack is set to roll out next year, featuring the dark arts master character who can summon armies of undead by using blood magic.To give fans an idea about "Diablo 3's" Necromancer, Blizzard Entertainment released a preview clip that provides a closer look at it.

During BlizzCon 2016, Blizzard Entertainment's Frank Pearce revealed during a panel that the Necromancer in the new DLC is inspired by the beloved class from "Diablo 2." Pearce also described the Necromancer as a "master of the dark arts" who basically takes advantage of everything the game has to offer. Additionally, well-known abilities are coming back, including the Corpse Explosion which can be used to summon an ally.

On another note, the addition of DLCs for "Diablo 3" led fans to speculate that "Diablo 4" might be Blizzard Entertainment's next project. As reports point out, the game developer still has not yet announced details about a possible fourth installment. However, fans remain hopeful that it will be developed soon since the last installment was released four years ago.
