Ever since "Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls" came out in 2013, many fans have already started talking about the series' fourth installment. Although game developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment has not officially confirmed the production of a new sequel, industry observers have continued to share their own prediction about the game. However, new reports have emerged suggesting that the game may never come out.

One of the reasons why some fans are suggesting the end of the franchise is the departure of "Diablo" game director, Josh Mosqueira. Up until now, there is still no report coming from the company as to who will replace the position Mosqueira has left.

According to a report by Forbes, although reports about a new game installment have been scarce lately, Blizzard has continued to provide fresh content to the current "Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls" to make sure they expand their fan base to the new generation of gamers.

When the game came out three years ago, it quickly became a hit and amassed more than 2 million in sales after a week and went on to sell more than 30 million copies worldwide.

The success of the franchise has been widely credited to Mosqueira. Many believe that if the company decides to release another installment, they will have to do all their best to fill the hole Mosqueira has vacated. It will certainly not going to be an easy task. However, fans are still excited to know more about the company's plan for another title.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors circulating online suggesting that Blizzard is currently focusing on providing more expansion packs to the current game. As of the moment, the company is concentrating on gathering more ideas on expanding the third installment rather than developing a new title.

Nonetheless, the people behind the game are still dealing with the rumors and speculations about a fourth installment.
