'Diablo 4' release date news 2016: Major updates coming to BlizzCon?
Publisher Blizzard Entertainment is still keeping mum on details regarding "Diablo 4." The fourth installment of the hack-and-slash video game has long been anticipated by fans but until now there is still no word regarding its release date.
According to reports, several are already losing hope in the future of the game. It was initially rumored to be announced during the upcoming BlizzCon2016 although it was never really confirmed that the game will make an appearance during the event.
But recent news suggests the game will not be out anytime soon. Reports said that a newly hired Blizzard employee divulged some information saying that the company has prepared something fresh for the game but it's not going to be "Diablo 4."
This left fans to speculate that if "Diablo 4" isn't going to come, then perhaps an expansion for "Diablo 3" is going to be released instead.
There are also rumors saying that it could be a "Diablo 2" remake. There's a high chance that a remastered version will be coming since Blizzard previously mentioned that it wants to resurrect an old game using the latest game engine available today.
Blizzard has also posted three new job postings for "Diablo" in general. It did not mention what it is up to but it indicated that a User Interface Designer will be assigned to the "Diablo 3" game. Moreover, reports said that Blizzard has already successfully resolved its internal issues.
The gaming company reportedly had some problems with the "Diablo 3" technical team, which may have led to the delay of the fourth game. It was even said that the predecessor was put under maintenance mode since the game is now doing well.
As of now, nothing is confirmed yet so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt. Fans will also have to stay tuned to find out what's coming in the BlizzCon 2016.
