'Dishonored 2' free update review: new Game Plus gains good review; hopes to bring in new players
Players of "Dishonored 2" will definitely have more reasons to play the game especially since Bethesda just announced a new update for it. As expected, the update has a lot of surprises for players, sparking the possibility that loyal gamers will continue to play the game and new ones will come along.
The "Dishonored 2" update includes a New Game Plus mode that allows players to return to the campaign they have completed and play it with it with more learnings. It could be recalled that "Dishonored 2" was released in November, but Bethesda plans to keep the players interested by rolling out a new update.
"Unlocked once you complete the game as either Emily or Corvo, New Game Plus lets you begin anew as either character with access to each hero's full suite of abilities plus all the Bonecharm Traits and Runes collected from your previous playthrough that you can re-assign to choose the powers you want," stated Bethesda's press release on GameBeat.
According to Venture Beat, "Dishonored 2" needs to have a boost of sales since the title was not included in the 10 best-selling games of NPD Group. The title's launch in the United Kingdom did not perform as the initial title, dropping 38 percent as compared with "Dishonored."
Kotaku released a review stating that the New Game Plus of "Dishonored 2" update was essential and fantastic. It allows the players to start the game by choosing either two of the main protagonists. Furthermore, it gives the players the complete access of the two characters' capabilities, opening more opportunities to customize "ur-character" by using each of the ability.
To get ready for the New Game Plus of "Dishonored 2," the publication recommends assigning all the runes before concluding the game. Then, it is ideal to break down all bonecharms and purchase the runecrafting ability in order to get most out of the leftover whale bones.
"Dishonored 2" is up for another free update in January.
