Fans of the science-fiction television series "Doctor Who" are worried that they will not be seeing any more of the Paternoster Gang in future runs of the show. There is also no news of it being featured in the upcoming "Doctor Who" season 10. Catrin Stewart, who plays one of the gang members, Jenny, continues to hope though that the much-loved team-up will still be seen on the show.

The Paternoster Gang was brought to the series by the now-departing showrunner, Steven Moffat, and has gained quite a following among the show's multitude of fans. So much so that there was even a call for the group, consisting of Madam Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Strax (Dan Starkey), as well as Stewart's character, to get a show of their own.

Stewart, however, will not go as far as to look forward to a spin-off but will be content for the gang to be featured again on "Doctor Who."

"I don't think it'll happen, but it's nice to know that people really like us and want us to come back," the actress told Digital Spy of the rumored spin-off.

She went on to speculate that a spin-off would be something fun to pursue. However, she felt that it's only the show's fans who clamor for it and that no talk of a spin-off has been heard of from BBC, the network that airs the show.

Stewart pointed out, "Someone's got to write it and now that Steven Moffat's leaving, I think it could be the end of the Paternoster Gang."

The actress said that she remains optimistic that her gang will have another appearance in Moffat's season 10, which is his last season before he quits the show. Only, it is not an assurance that it will happen, not without the go signal.

"If I knew anything, I couldn't say anything — but I genuinely have not heard anything!"

For now, fans will have to wait for "Doctor Who" season 10, which will air a Christmas special this December, followed by the full season run in the spring of 2017.
