'Dota 2' update 7.00: The New Journey includes new HUD, pre-game stage, a new character named Monkey King
"Dota 2" has released its 7.00 update called The New Journey. Valve officially announced that the latest patch has several changes to the main game, aside from an additional hero.
"Dota 2" update 7.00 has taken the interest of the players as it has applied major changes to the game. Aside from a new hero, the update also comes with a pre-game stage, map revamps, head-up display (HUD) changes, talent trees, among others. The update can now be installed, but it needs a 6.6GB of free space.
Valve introduced Monkey King in "Dota 2" update 7.00, which is the additional new hero to the franchise. The character is described as someone who has disable skills. His appearance is compared with a mythological legend, Sun Wukong.
Monkey King can show his wrath to his enemy by means of his Boundless Strike. He does this by slamming his weapon into the ground, causing his enemies to be stunned and suffer great damage. It is said to be comparable to the Earthshaker's Fissure. The new character also has a Tree Dance move, which allows him to jump on trees, an advantage to get the best attack against his enemy.
"Always in search of a good fight, Monkey King travels atop the trees aiming to spring from leafy cover and surprise his enemies. Calling upon an army of monkey soldiers to overwhelm opponents, this agile trickster revels in the chaos of battle, ready to slam his legendary staff down on any hopes of escape," reads the description of him.
"Dota 2" update 7.0 also comes with a new pre-game stage to provide players with more tools to choose the right heroes and strategize better their plan of attack. This is beneficial as there are endless combinations of heroes and strategies to combine.
The new HUD of "Dota 2" update 7.00, on the other hand, allows the players to have an enhanced vision of the map so that they can efficiently see what's happening in every game.
