'Dragon Age: Inquisition Jaws of Hakkon' DLC Release Date: Available for Xbox One and PC - How to Get Started
The downloadable content, or DLC, for "Dragon Age: Inquisition Jaws of Hakkon" is now available for the Xbox One and PC. The 1.5 GB download is available on the Xbox Store and Origin for $14.99.
Because of time-based exclusivity arrangement between Electronic Arts and Microsoft for the Dragon Age add-on, users of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 will need to wait until probably the end of April before they can avail themselves of the DLC. It is not clear when it will be available for Xbox 360 and why it wasn't included.
"Jaws of Hakkon" provides a new story involving the fate of the last Inquisitor and the powerful dragon he hunted. There will be an overgrown wilderness filled with Avvar, fiercely independent hunters who settled in the southern mountains of Thedas. There will be an ancient Tevinter fortress that hides a dangerous secret. There will be new enemies, armor and weapons, new dialogue and new music.
You won't need to complete "The Dragon Age: Inquisition" to start the new DLC, but there is a recommended level of 20. Here is how to get started once the DLC is installed.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will alert you that a new quest is available once you begin the game. Go to your Journal, and select "Jaws of Hakkon" from the Frostback Basin area.
Go to the War Table in Skyhold and move to Ferelden. A new mission marker will be added to the map to "Investigate Frostback Basin."
You'll need to spend eight powers to commence the quest. An Orlesian professor is asking for help to find "historic discoveries beneficial to both the academic field and the Inquisition."
You'll then be taken to Frostback Basin, where you are greeted by Scout Harding and the professor.
Speak with them to begin the quest line for "Jaws of Hakkon."
