'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 57 spoilers: Next episode to explain Zamasu's rise to power; Future Trunks to turn into Super Saiyan Blue?

The previous episode of "Dragon Ball Super" was a shocker to everyone. Episode 56 showed the journey of Son Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks to a distant timeline where Black Goku is spreading chaos across the Earth. Thanks to Bulma's efforts to fix the time machine, the trio were able to reach the future timeline and confront Black Goku.

Unfortunately, both Vegeta and Goku were no match to Black Goku's power, even if the two transformed into a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, or Super Saiyan Blue. The final scene of the episode was the most puzzling, as a much powerful Zamasu emerged from the skies and stopped Black from killing off Goku with a Black Kamehame wave. It was revealed that Zamasu and Black Goku are in cahoots all along, and the next episode will explain how the two villainous characters came to know each other.

According to iTech Post, "Dragon Ball Super" Episode 57 will be explaining a lot of question left by the previous episode. Specifically, the mystery surrounding Zamasu will be tackled in detail in the next chapter. The Universe 10 kaioshin apprentice had a much smaller appearance when he first appeared in the series and met Goku, Beerus and Whis in Episode 53. Also, it is noticeable that he is now wearing a green Potara earring, which could mean that he has already become a Supreme Kai. It is possible that Zamasu already killed Gowasu, the last known kaioshin of Universe 10 and stole the Potara earrings. Nevertheless, the upcoming episode will show the extent of Zamasu's power and how he was able to become an Immortal God.

Meanwhile, Yibada speculated that in the coming episodes, Future Trunks may finally learn how to access the Ki of the Gods and finally become the third known Saiyan to transform into Super Saiyan Blue. It is rumored that in a very desperate time, Future Trunks will be forced to use the full extent of his Saiyan powers and surprise everyone, including Black Goku and Zamasu, by transforming into a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. However, as seen in the previous episode, a Super Saiyan Blue form of Goku was easily beaten by Black Goku when the latter transformed into Super Saiyan Rose, so it has to be seen if Future Trunks as Super Saiyan Blue can take down Black.
