'Dragon Ball Super' episode 58 spoilers: Episode 58 synopsis revealed; 'Dragon Ball Super' English dub cancelled?
The plot summary for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 58, titled "Zamasu and Black: The Deep Mystery of the Two," has been revealed.
Gojiitaaf, who is known in the world of "Dragon Ball Super" for sharing episode spoilers, recently published the synopsis on Facebook, along with the preview trailer for the upcoming episode.
According to the plot summary, episode 58 will find Goku and the rest trapped by Zamasu and Goku Black, but somehow, they successfully returned to the past. Supreme Kai, Whis, and Beers appear before the group as they are treating their injuries. Goku tells Senzu that he wants to return to the future immediately and that his fighting spirit is intact.
The synopsis also revealed that Zamasu is on the hunt for the secret of the Dragon Balls and that he is heading to Zuno's to inquire about them. As he interrogates Zuno about the Dragon Balls, he also asks about Goku.
The upcoming episode is expected to put the spotlight on the real identity of Goku Black, who some sources have suggested was created by Zamasu so that he could conquer the universe. There are also theories that Zamasu and Goku Black are one person.
Meanwhile, the future of the "Dragon Ball Super" English version has recently been questioned due to the lack of updates about the upcoming project. Viz Media announced earlier this year that the English dub is set to debut on Toonami in Southeast Asia and India sometime in 2016. The company then began publishing free English translations of the "Dragon Ball Super" manga chapters on its website in June. According to Australia Network News, a print release was planned for spring 2017.
Despite the lack of updates, it doesn't seem as though the English version has been canceled, given that there have been no announcements to that end. Because of the immensity of the world of "Dragon Ball Super," fans may just have to wait a little longer for the English dub.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 58 is scheduled to air on Sunday, Sept. 11, on Fuji TV.
