A Great Saiyaman movie is in the works in the next episode of "Dragon Ball Super," and who should work as the star's stunt double but the Great Saiyaman himself, Gohan?

Episode 72 titled "Gohan's Misfortune! An Unexpected Great Saiyaman Movie?!" finds Goku's eldest son playing a part in a movie about himself, but instead of the main role, he will be volunteering his services as a stunt man for the Great Saiyaman's dangerous scenes. The said movie will be top billed by an actor named Barry Kaan and will also reportedly feature the dream match between the Great Saiyaman and Mr. Satan.

What leads Gohan to volunteer himself as a stuntman is not made clear and will only be revealed when the episode itself airs in January. Jako will also be making an appearance in a storyline of his own, which eventually leads to the unfortunate escape of a heinous criminal he is supposedly escorting. Will this escaped convict make his way to the movie set and force the stuntman Gohan to reveal his true nature as the real Great Saiyaman?

It seems that there will be more filler episodes coming in the next few weeks as the anime series builds up towards the upcoming "Universe Survival Arc," wherein elite fighters from different parts of the multiverse will gather together in what will quite possibly be the biggest tournament ever held in the entire history of the "Dragon Ball" series.

The previous episode revealed Goku to be Hit's mysterious client, having ordered the hit on himself in order to fight Universe 6's legendary assassin in a no holds barred battle for survival. It looks like one of Universe 7's strongest fighters is all set for the Omniverse Tournament. Will the events in the next episode be the key that leads Gohan to decide to participate in the said tournament as well?

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 will air on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 at 9 a.m. Japan Time on Fuji TV, while the "Universe Survival Arc" is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 7.
