'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' news, update, rumors: 'Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken' not included in game
Many new details about the upcoming fighting video game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" were revealed during the recently concluded Gamescom 2016 event in Berlin. So far, many contents are confirmed to be added in the latest game sequel, particularly those from the currently running anime series, "Dragon Ball Super." However, the Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken transformation of Son Goku will not be included in the features.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game producer Masayuki Hirano revealed some interesting information regarding "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" at the Gamescom 2016 earlier this month. He revealed that the story length of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be the same as that of the first game, but it will have more in-game features and add-ons that will keep the players' interest in the game, according to Yibada.
Moreover, it was confirmed that some contents from "Dragon Ball Super" will be in the upcoming video game. This includes the characters such as Future Trunks and Black Goku. However, Goku's latest Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken form will not be added in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," Attack of the Fanboy reported. To recall, this particular transformation was needed by Goku during the Universe 6 versus Universe 7 story arc in the series in order to counter Hit's time manipulation technique. The players cannot use the Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken's special ability to adjust with the time skip attacks.
There are also other contents from the older "Dragon Ball" series that will not make it in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Bandai Namco, the official publisher of the game, has confirmed that that the special forms of the characters such as Kid Goku will not appear. The second forms of the villains Frieza and Cell will not be featured in the roster, as well as the special transformations of Majin Buu after absorbing several characters in the series such as Super Gotenks, Piccolo and Mystic Gohan.
Still, Hirano gave the assurance that his team will be adding more features upon the request of the fans.
