'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date, news and updates: Game beats its predecessor in sales
The release of "Dragonball Xenoverse 2" was received warmly by fans, and the success has been so great that it has ultimately surpassed the sales of its predecessor, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse."
According to Forbes, Bandai Namco has reportedly shipped over 1.4 million copies of the game worldwide. On the other hand, it took around a month for the original title to hit this mark. The 1.4 million shipments over the course of nearly two weeks proves to be quite an impressive feat for "Xenoverse 2," and with the sparkling reviews that it has been getting online, Bandai seems to have outdone itself.
The game is said to be better than the first by having a larger world to travel in and by including a lot of different worlds. The game has also taken some side characters like Lord Slug and Turles, and expanded their stories to turn them into memorable villains.
The game also allows players to join factions of the different species, so aside from interacting with the more famous Z Warriors, players can also do missions for simpler folk like Namekians and Buu. Customization options are also said to be amazing and the player can personalize almost anything from accessories, special moves and items.
It's also been previously reported that two new raid quests are available for the game, the first one involving Cell in Conton City and the second one with the Great Ape Baby. Participants of the quests gain 10,000 Zeni and beating the level 99 boss gives players new costumes for their characters.
Bandai seems to be on cloud nine as fan reception for their new game has been nothing but positive. Fans and gamers don't know what the developers are going to do next, but they're on the edge of their seats waiting for the company's next move.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is now available for all platforms.
