Duggars '19 Kids and Counting' News: Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard Baby Gender — It's a Boy!

It's official. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have announced that they are going to have a baby boy.

The reality couple from "19 Kids and Counting" made the announcement two months into Jill's pregnancy. During the announcement, three of Duggars siblings were present including Joy, 16, James, 13 and Jenny, 7. They all witnessed the ultrasound test on Jill last Saturday.

"Oh yes, there was some screaming in the room," said Jill. "I thought all along we were having a girl. Everyone made their guesses."

Before the ultrasound, Derick told People last Friday that they are just praying for a "big, healthy baby."

"We could have a giant," Jill exclaimed. "I called Derick's mom and she was telling me that when Derick was born, he didn't fit into the newborn clothes and his shoes were a size two."

Before the ultrasound, Jill packed her baby boy with fruit, waffles and whipped cream. She also had chocolate milk, then lemonade. "He stretched out his legs full lengths. He was trying to be like Dad," Jill said.

The couple "was really excited" to learn that they are going to have a boy in March.

"As a new dad, to have a firstborn son who will be the leader of his siblings, it is very special," Derick said.

Jill said Derick's and her own parents were "elated" to hear the news. "My mon and dad both thought it was going to be a boy, and my grandma did, too. They are all really excited."
