American rapper French Montana has been spotted on the set of "Empire" season 3. Reports say that Khloe Kardashian's ex will be playing someone who is inside CEO Lucious Lyon's (Terrence Howard) inner circle.

In an Instagram post by "Empire" co-creator and producer Lee Daniels, viewers can see a picture of Daniels alongside Montana and Howard. Also in the picture is rapper Birdman, who is reportedly playing himself in a guest role in the series. It has not been stated how important Montana's role is in the series, but he is said to play a character named Vaughn. It's also not revealed how close he will be to Lucious or how long he will be in the season, but some reports suggest that he will be a possible love interest for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).

Romeo Miller, another prominent person in the American rap scene, has also been cast for the third season of "Empire," but likewise, little about his role has been revealed.

Speaking of casting, previous reports have the production looking for a young couple of actors who could portray a young Lucious and Cookie Lyon. The reason for their casting is because "Empire" season 3 will reportedly look into the beginnings of Cookie and Lucious, and what better way to portray their origins than through a flashback?

Fans have been anxious to know who had died in the season 2 finale. At the end of the last episode, Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey) and Rhonda Lyon (Kaitlin Doubleday) found themselves in a life or death struggle on the balcony of a tall building. When Andre (Trai Byers) walked in on their fight, both girls were screaming loudly, which could mean something bad happened. The showrunners have confirmed that one of the ladies went over the ledge and died, and fans speculate that it could be Rhonda.

'Empire" season 3 will reveal who exactly has died, but fans will have to wait until Sept. 21 to have that question answered.
