'Entourage' Movie Plot Spoilers, News: For Vincent Chase and His Boys, Ambitions Change But Friendship Remain

HBO

The official trailer of "Entourage" the movie has just been released as well as the official description of the film. Movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his boys – Eric (Kevin Connolly), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) and Johnny (Kevin Dillon) – are back in business with super-agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Piven).

Some of their ambitions have changed, but the friendship that binds remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.

"Entourage," Doug Ellin's comedy/drama program is loosely based on executive producer Mark Wahlberg's real-life experiences when he made the jump to Hollywood film acting.

The "Entourage" TV series version ended its run in 2011 after eight seasons. The series got several award nominations and wins, including a Golden Globe for Jeremy Piven as the stressed out agent Ari Gold.

"Entourage" Season 8 neatly tied up a couple of the show's character plot threads in such a way that would allow for continuation in a movie, which began production earlier this year.

The show premiered on HBO on July 18, 2014 and ended on September 11, 2011. It chronicled the acting career of Vincent Chase, a young A-list movie star, and his childhood friends from Queens, New York City, as they navigate the unfamiliar terrain of Los Angeles, California. The series dealt with themes of male friendship and real-life situations in modern-day Hollywood. The show became known for its array of famous guests—actors, athletes and other celebrities—who appeared as guest stars or in cameo roles.

The movie, written and directed by Doug Ellin, features cameos or guest starring appearances from Jessica Alba, Haley Joel Osment, Calvin Harris, Liam Neeson, Russel Wilson, Emily Ratajkowski, Ronda Rousey, Billy Bob Thornton, George Takei, Pharrell, Andrew Dice Clay, David Spade, Warren Buffet, Armie Hammer, Tom Brady, Kelsey Grammer, Ed O'Neill and Mark Wahlberg himself.
