'Entourage' Trailer Video Released: More Movie-Related Problems
"Entourage," a film due for release in June 2015, reunites the talents who made the original TV show a must watch for many fans.
The film's recently released trailer is centered on the movie star Vince (Adrian Grenier) and his gang as they proceed to make a movie, squarely addressing problems they face along the way.
When it ran on HBO as a series, "Entourage" faced a fair amount of criticism. Despite this, it received numerous awards, most notably for Jeremy Piven who landed an Emmy Award for Best Actor for playing the role of Ari Gold, a top agent to movie stars.
The trailer first started with the trailer for a movie that Vince is starring in called "Hyde." Ari, who is now the head of a major studio, asks him what he did with the $100 million that he gave him to make the movie.
The trailer features a host of cameo appearances from stars such as Billy Bob Thornton, Mark Wahlberg, Haley Joel Osment, and Ronda Rousey.
According to its synopsis, the film will be based on the same format as the TV show. It focuses on the gang of guys that make up Vince's entourage and their strong bond as they "navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood."
Given that the show was based loosely on Mark Wahlberg's experience as he made the transition from model to movie star, it was assumed that he would make an appearance in the film. When he does appear in the trailer, he doesn't disappoint. He is seen at the end threatening to kill any guy who replaces his brother Drama in the movie.
The film is written and directed by Doug Ellin who was the executive producer of the TV series that ran for eight seasons. The movie picsk up the action six months after the TV series finale.
Also in the cast are Kevin Connolly who plays Eric "E" Murphy, Jerry Ferrara who plays Turtle, and Kevin Dillon who plays Drama.
