Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling Baby Girl: Couple Keep Pregnancy and Baby Birth Private

Ryan Gosling is now a father to a baby girl. Long time couple Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcomed the baby earlier this month on September 12, according to Us Weekly.

The couple kept mum about the pregnancy despite the rumors. They also kept the news about becoming parents for the first time provate, and most people did not find out about the baby until about a week later.

A friend of Mendes told People, "She's absolutely in heaven being a mom. She's never been happier."

She added, "She and Ryan are just in awe of this beautiful person they created. It's a really special time for them."

Mendes appeared on The Ellen Show earlier this year and addressed the pregnancy rumors as "ridiculous".

She said, "It's so ridiculous. It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport, you know, those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy -- they basically see you naked, right? And there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out."

Mendes reportedly told the officials of Los Angeles International Airport about not wanting to go through the body scan because she was pregnant.

The couple kept a low profile after that. Fans speculated a breakup between the two but it was only in July this year that Ryan and Eva confirmed about the pregnancy, Eva already 7 months pregnant at that time.

Gosling, 33, and Mendes, 40, have been dating since 2011 after the shoot of The Place Beyond the Pines.
