'Fallout 4' PS4 mods release date news 2016: Feature still coming, Bethesda confirms
The wait continues for the "Fallout 4" mods for the PlayStation 4. While some are losing hope that the feature will see the light of day, Bethesda's vice president for marketing and public relations Pete Hines assured that the promised mods will arrive.
Speaking to GameCentral, Hines revealed no release date or schedule but implied that they are currently waiting for the results of the evaluation process presumably from Sony.
"All I can say is that it is undergoing an evaluation process and as soon as it's done, and we have more info, we're gonna let everyone know," Hines said coyly.
The interviewer then assumed based on his statement that the problem lies with Sony or that the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods will no longer be released.
The Bethesda executive then clarified that the feature is still coming despite the lack of updates and the long delay that is definitely testing the patience of many fans.
"It's definitely not that we've decided not to do it, we absolutely, positively want to get PS4 mods out as fast as humanely possible," Hines explained.
As what he previously implied when asked on social media about the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods, Bethesda itself is awaiting word from the people in charge of the feature, which is said to be Sony.
Back in July, he told a fan on Twitter that they are "in the dark" with the fans when it comes to the feature. "I don't disagree. We have explained that to 'others' so we can get/share an update. So far it hasn't worked," he tweeted.
The mods were supposed to be released by the end of June. However, issues on the sound support and performance as well as the 900 MB upload limit (the Xbox One mods came with 2 GB).
At the moment, a specific release timing for the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods is yet to be announced so fans will just have to keep an eye out.
