As previously announced, Bethesda and Sony finally reached an agreement to bring in mods for "Fallout 4," which was promised to start by Oct. 28, along with Bethesda's release of "Skyrim: Special Edition" that is also getting mod support in PlayStation 4 (PS4) consoles along with "Fallout 4."

Sony agreed for players to create and modify the game to their own content using the Bethesda Creation Kit. Players, however, are not allowed to upload external assets when creating a PS4 mod; they are only limited to the assets that the base game already offers.

Currently, the number of PS4 mods for "Fallout 4" are still less than 300, but many gamers are adding to that list as of this writing. To be able to enjoy mods, PS4 players of "Fallout 4" should download the patch update 1.8 first to get mod support and several bug fixes.

One of the most popular mods is the "Wild Plants and Alcohol for Settlements" that allows players to plant hubflowers, brain fungus, and other wild vegetation which can be crafted into Gwinnett beers and BobRoy's Best Moonshine.

Another useful mod is the "Settlement Build Budget x10" mod that gives players ten times more to work with in their settlement. The creator of the mod, however, noted that this mod will only work for newly loaded games, as Sony doesn't give a retroactive effect for the new mod support feature of "Fallout 4."

Meanwhile, a new mod called "Get All Perks" acts like some kind of a cheat because it gives the player a standard assault rifle, 9,999 ammo, 9,999 stimpacks, and 99,999 caps in a foot locker, whenever the need arises.

As for PS4 Pro users, it is still not clear if mod support will be carried into it, but Bethesda is hopeful that Sony will incorporate it in their new console.
