Farrah Abraham '16 & Pregnant' Star: Reaction To Lip Implant Lands Her In ER
Farrah Abraham, former star of the MTV reality show "16 & Pregnant," recently got a lip implant and subsequently had to be admitted to the ER when she had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia that was used during the procedure.
The reality TV star has been experimenting with plastic surgery since her stint on reality shows. She first got breast implants in 2010. Encouraged by the results of that operation, she went on to get a chin implant in 2012 which a Daily Mail report said cost around $21,000.
However, Abraham was not happy with the outcome of her chin implant operation and subsequently got it removed in 2013. That surgery was featured on the show "The Doctors" which ran on CBS.
In 2013 during an appearance on the Bethenny Frankel talk show, Abraham described the plastic surgeries she had. She subsequently revealed on Twitter that she was having collagen injections to increase the size of her lips. It seemed at first that Abraham was happy with the results of the injections which were temporary, and therefore decided to try out the permanent lip implant.
After the lip implant, her upper lip swelled up considerably. Abraham then posted a series of photos of her swollen lip to her Twitter account, where many replied, saying she looked like a "duck."
Abraham, who was part of the MTV show "16 & Pregnant" that focused on teen mothers in 2009, has a four-year-old daughter named Sophia. She later went on to land a gig in the spin off "Teen Mom." In the reality TV shows, Abraham was often seen struggling to deal with the demands of motherhood after the father of her unborn child was killed in a motor vehicle accident.
Since appearing on the reality shows, Abraham has moved on and penned her memoir "My Teenage Dream Ended" which even made an appearance on the bestseller list of the New York Times. She also released a single titled "On My Own and Finally Getting Up From Rock Bottom." She even starred in an adult film.
