Filming of "Fast 8" has recently started in Ohio, Iceland and Cuba and is soon to commence in Atlanta and New York. And while at it, "Fast 8" lead actor Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto) took a few minutes to share on Instagram a reminiscent photo of him with his friend and "Fast and Furious" co-star, the late Paul Walker.

Amid various traffic closures in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, some residents just witnessed cars being thrown out of the sixth floor of the Halle garage located along Prospect Ave., with some even having captured the action on camera.

May 16 marked the official commencement of the movie's second unit crew shooting in Cleveland, which is expected to run all the way to June through highly-secured road closures. According to Cleveland.com, prior to the actual footages, professional stunt drivers were seen rehearsing at the Euclid Square Mall.

On the other hand, principal photography for the film already began in March in Mývatn, Iceland, while the first unit crew began taping in Havana in Cuba and Akranes in Iceland from late April. Later during the year, Atlanta and New York will house the "Fast 8" filming.

Meanwhile, Vin Diesel took a break from all the whooshing vehicles to remember Walker who passed away in November 2013 in a car crash. He shared his sentiments on Instagram while shooting the eighth installment of the "Fast and Furious" movie franchise which he used to co-star with Walker.

The actor posted a throwback photo from his and Walker's past interview, captioning it with a short narration of an evocative conversation between him and a film crew member who told him that what they were capturing on film was excellent and later said, "Paul would be proud."

Diesel consistently has had Walker in mind. On April 27, he also posted a collage with his so-called "brother."

"Fast 8" is set to be released on April 14, 2017.
