Paul Walker's death via a tragic car accident, no less, shocked the entire movie-going world, more so since his movie, "Fast and the Furious 7" was still in production. However, filming finished without missing a beat, and now that "Fast 8" is scheduled to hit theaters next year, fans might get treated to another glimpse of the actor.

Vin Diesel is adamant to bring Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, back. In fact, if he will have it his way, he wants some fight scenes along with the man he considers his brother. There are speculations the production team will try to weave the same magic they did back in the seventh installment in order to bring Walker back in "Fast 8."

According to rumors, both cast and crew of the franchise are talking with Walker's family, and apparently, the family has approved their plan of bringing Brian O' Conner back. Walker's real-life brothers, Caleb and Cody, are all for it based on their interview with Entertainment Tonight.

As per the brothers, there's a possibility that Brian O'Conner will return on-screen via "Fast 8." Moreover, they said that giving their nod to double as Walker in "Fast 7" helped them cope during those trying times and get to know their brother even more. They said that they have given their blessings to Diesel to bring back Walker's character in future installments of the franchise.

Meanwhile, Cinema Blend reports that another major cast member might not return for "Fast 8." Dom's sister, Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) will not be part of the upcoming installment, because according to the actress, she was not given any part in the movie. She confirmed that filming for the eighth installment is done.

Mia is Brian's wife, and although the team already bid their goodbyes to Mia and Brian's characters in the last film, the fact that Brian might be back for "Fast 8" without Mia seems a bit odd. Fans are hoping that additional scenes can be made to include Mia, should Brian be part of the latest installment.

"Fast 8" is hitting theaters on April 14, 2017. Some new cast members to watch out for include Scott Eastwood, Charlize Theron, and Helen Mirren.
