It may seem far away from now but there's actually just a few months left until "Fast and Furious 8" hits the big screen. Fans are looking forward to the eighth installment of the film franchise especially since the last one was very emotional.

According to reports, filming for the title has already wrapped up so production right now is busy with editing and finalizing everything. But fans will be able to get a sneak peek soon as main star and protagonist Vin Diesel previously revealed through his Facebook that they will be releasing the first official trailer of "Fast and Furious 8" on Dec. 11.

It's still uncertain what will be included in the teaser but fans are predicting that it will show the new characters. As detailed in reports, the next installment of the film has added famous stars in the roster including Helen Mirren ("Woman in Gold"), Charlize Theron ("Mad Max: Fury Road") and Kristofer Hivju ("Game of Thrones").

Spoilers revealed that Theron and Hivju will play the villains while Mirren's role is said to be connected to Ian Shaw who is played by Jason Statham. It's not known yet who Mirren will be playing but fans guess that she could be the mother of Ian or she could be playing a bad-ass government spy or agent. One thing is for sure though, she won't be part of the team behind the wheels.

Theron, Hivju and Mirren will be joining old stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Dwayne Johnson, Elsa Pataky and Tego Calderon. Scott Eastwood is also joining the cast as a cop.

Meanwhile, rumors said that Paul Walker's character Brian O'Conner will still appear in the upcoming sequel. Walker died in 2013 car crash before the release of "Fast and Furious 7." The production had to make use of his brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker, to continue filming the character.

There is no confirmation about the appearance of Brian though so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt. Until then, fans should watch out for "Fast and Furious 8" which will premiere on April 14, 2017.
